10 Mar WINGS: New Gender Strategies for Women’s Inclusion
The EU-funded project WINGS, launched in February 2022, aims to facilitate the social-economic integration of third-county national women victims of trafficking.
The model WINGS will pilot in Belgium, Greece, Italy, and Spain revolves around a three-pronged approach to integration tackling language skills, psychological wellbeing, and increased job opportunities.
The consortium, made of anti-trafficking organizations from Belgium, Greece, Italy and Spain, will develop and apply a gender- and context-specific support model comprising a language course with integrated psychological support , personalized employment counseling , and tailored internship or job opportunities . The project is expected to generate impact at different levels:
- Increased language and soft skills, self-perceived wellbeing, and motivation of 60 beneficiaries towards better integration into the labor market,
- Increased understanding and strengthened capacities of victim support organizations to provide needs-based and tailored-made language, psychological, and employment support to their clients
- Increased opportunities for employers to contribute to an inclusive economy by creating 15 internship or job opportunities for the project beneficiaries in each partner country, and increase employers’ awareness towards supporting vulnerable groups.
Consortium: CESIE (IT), Libera (IT), KMOP (GR), Surt (ES), Payoke.
